Bectu Pact Tv Agreement

After two years of negotiations, Pact and BECTU signed an agreement on the crew of television dramas. The agreement is a major breakthrough in creating clear and fair working conditions for the benefit of all. Producers and la BECTU members unanimously supported the new agreement, with more than 97% of Bectu members voting in favour of the new conditions. The agreement was signed on May 31 by Pact Chief Executive John McVay and BECTU Chief Gerry Morrissey. The union has a number of agreements with ITV licensing companies. In addition, a new national agreement – the Joint Committee of the Union – was signed in January 2010. The agreement provides for formal negotiations at the national level on remuneration and a number of other business-to-business issues. This agreement will affect you when you are working on a major film, defined as a film with a budget of $30 million or more. The fine details may be a little accustomed, but the most important points are covered below. By far, the greatest success of these negotiations is the erosion of “hours that are given free of charge.” Preparation and Wrap: In the past, most costume departments were expected to have a more “reasonable preparation and wrap” normal day.

Under the new agreement, the preparation and packaging have not completely disappeared, but it was recognized first and, secondly, fixed at half an hour at the beginning and half an hour at the end of each day. This should not change from production to production, superiors will not have to negotiate how long their department provides for free. This is an important step to get rid of it completely in the future. Bectu has worked on negotiating a series of collective agreements covering film, television and theatre workers. We also promote agreements that guarantee good practices such as APA and implement a number of professional rating systems that can be found below: for more information on the agreement, please contact Conrad Mewton, Legal and Economic Director of the Covenant: Conrad@pact.co.uk. The PACT/BECTU agreement for major motion pictures, with a budget of more than $30 million, came into force on April 2, 2018. You will find the text of the agreement and some indications here: in early 2019, there will be a revision of the agreement. This will be an opportunity to see if it works, how it works and whether changes need to be made. We ask for feedback on this, both positive and negative. Especially contact if you think it has been poorly implemented or that it has worked with productions that have tried to bypass it or find ways to get around it. Please send us with confidence to bectucostumewardrobe@gmail.com If you have a request for an agreement or if you wish to report an infringement or abuse, please send us an email tvdrama@bectu.org.uk the fact is that obtaining this contract was a negotiation.

That means that we have gained ground in some respects, but we have had to compromise on other points, but we think they are worth it. This agreement will provide all services on terms and conditions parity and will also benefit dailies that in the past did not have the same benefits as contracted crew members. Please get to know it in depth, the points highlighted above will be explained in more detail in the full document.
